ANIMAL FIGHTING
People all over the world fight their pets for many reasons. Some fight for simple entertainment, other's fight their dogs for gambling reasons and to make a profit. None of these reasons are ok. WHY do they do it? These people have no compassion for life. They are inhumane monsters who will one day pay the price for their actions. Pit Bulls in particular in the United States are the one of the most fought animals. Pit Bulls got a bad name because some owners bred their dogs to be mean or as they like to put it "protective." In the city I live in, the police have the right to shoot an aggressive dog on site. And I'm mostly referring to Pit Bulls. These animals who are bred to fight are put through grueling acts such as starvation, isolation and physical abuse. The animal is let to get so hungry that when it's released in an area with other animals, it attaks it and eats them to calm their hunger. Other's are isolated from people and other animals so when it is put in another area with someone or another animal it automatically becomes defensive of it's space and defends it's territory. And then the ones who are beaten will usually cowar to humans while attaking any other animal. HUMANS put these domesticated animals thoughts and behaviors into the animals head. They FORCE them to be "bad." This HAS to STOP.
I am going to share with you now pictures of animals being fought and the after effects of it. *WARNING* THESE PICTURES ARE GRAPHIC AND MAY BE DISTURBING TO SOME VIEWERS.

Of course let's not forget about Micheal Vick.....

As expected, Michael Vick pleaded guilty to one count of “conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities and to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture.” He previously admitted to financing “Bad Newz Kennels,” although he denied making money from gambling on dog fights. He also admitted that “collective efforts” of him and two other people resulted in the death of six or more dogs.
Although the plea agreement was for a recommended sentence of 12-18 months, the judge will have the final say on the sentence and will hand it down in December. This means that the judge could end up giving Vick a lighter sentence, especially if his actions between now and the sentencing date indicate he truly is on the path to redemption. The judge could also possibly give a higher sentence, but that is not likely.
On Monday, following his plea, Vick said, “dogfighting is a terrible thing.” He also said that he has “found Jesus” through this experience and has time to reflect and wants to redeem himself.
For the video of Vick’s apology, click here. What I found interesting was that on two separate occasions he said that he would not point the finger at anyone else and would take responsibility for his actions. He was likely taking some jabs at his co-conspirators who agreed to give up Vick to investigators. I also thought it was interesting that Vick, although claiming to be humble and turned over to God, continued to refer to himself in the third person.
What do you think about Vick’s apology? Do you think that it was genuine?
Personally, I think he should be put in a ring and attaked by the same dogs he forced to fight, but of course that's illegal. I think it's funny how both humans and animals both require food, water, warmth, shelter, attention and medical care..but they are treated COMPLETLEY different. Animals are disposable, while humans are not. And the one thing we humans have up on animals is that we can TELL people when we're hungry, thirsty, cold, lonley and hurt. THEY CANNOT.
WE ARE THEIR VOICE, BE A VOICE FOR THE ANIMALS!
