EUTHANASIA
Euthanasia happens everyday, everywhere to animals of all species. How and why they're euthanized is two different stories. Someone who has owned an animal for the life of the animal may decide to have their pet euthanized because it's old and it's health is not what it once was. They put them down because they cared about the pet and they don't want it to suffer any longer. THEN there is useless euthanasia as I like to call it. When someone has gotten a pet, has had it for a few weeks, months, or years and then decides they can no longer afford to take care it. OR that is has become a nuisance around the house, has chewed up something the owner cared about, or the person has a brand new kid, who's pulled on the animals ears and or tail so in defense of the pets self it's scratched, bitten or othewise let the kid know HEY..that hurts. So INSTEAD of teaching the animal what NOT to do and how to behave, they take it to an animal shelter or put it on the streets. In the event it's taken to a shelter, depending on the animals age and health, providing it be good age and health the animal will be given between 24 and 72 hours in most cases to be adopted. In the event the animal is NOT adopted in that time-frame the animal will be Euthanized A.K.A. Put to death. If the animal comes in and it's old, sickly or comes in because of a complaint of biting, the animal will IMMEDIATLEY be euthanized.
If the animal is tossed to the streets after having a family and ready made food, water and bedding, most times the animal will panic, cry and try to find shelter. Whether that be under a car, porch, tree or bush. Now, vision if you will putting a baby who is used to being fed every few hours, having it's parents cuddle it and wrapping it nicely in a blanket and putting it to bed, suddenly be put out in the front yard and left to fend for itself overnight. That's OUTRAGEOUS right!?!? Why? Because it's a baby? Most animals seek the same nurturing. An animal who is used to being cared for who suddenly gets put into an unfamiliar territory usually ends up running into the streets scared and getting run over. Or it gets attaked by a wild raccoon under the porch or tree. Does that seem fair to you?
Let's explore Euthaniasia a bit more now. Have you ever seen an animal right before being euthanized? They KNOW what is about to happen, just as we have sick senses about things. They will urinate on themselves, cry and shake. And in the cases where an animal is euthanized from a shelter, they have NO-ONE they know around them to comfort them in their final moments. They die alone. This is a very sad, but true fact. I am now going to share pictures with you of euthanized animals, animals in the process of euthanasia and the lethal injection and gas chambers they die in. *WARNING* THESE IMAGES ARE GRAPHIC AND MAY BE DISTURBING TO SOME VIEWERS.

The above are pictures of groups of animals that have been euthanized. They are stacked in barrels and trays until their corpse can be incinerated.

These three dogs are receiving the animal version of the lethal injection.

These are the gas chambers that animals are euthanized in. Although not as commonly used anymore as the lethal injection is, the chambers are still in practice in some shelters.
